Siemens’ third quarter earnings reported revenues of €18.348 billion, 4% lower than the previous year during the same period. The company’s net income was €1.317 billion, higher than the second quarter but still less than the third quarter of 2008. Free cash flow was also reported to have declined due to substantial outflows from previously reported project reviews and initiatives in order to safeguard profitability.
