Disney appoints Carolina Nightcap President

Financial World News Update by Equities Magazine

Carolina Lightcap, who has served as senior vice president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Latin American division, has been named president of Disney Channels Worldwide. Lightcap has 20 years in entertainment and a career of notable achievements under her belt. Lightcap is credited with turning Disney Channel Latin American into a top channel within the region.

The position has been open since Rich Ross, who held the position previously, was named chairman of Walt Disney Studios. Disney Channel Entertainment President, Gary Marsh, the man behind the channels powerhouse programming, “High School Musical” and “Hannah Montana” seemed like a natural successor, but was instead awarded the position of “chief creative officer”. He will report to Lightcap.
