Josh Childress scored 25 points while Zaza Pachulia added 23 points as the Atlanta Hawks (27-41) pounded the Sacramento Kings (29-38) 99-76 to earn their fifth straight win at home.
Atlanta built a 31-21 lead after the first quarter and then outscored the Kings 25-8 in the decisive third quarter to earn the win. The Kings hit just two field-goals in the third as the Hawks went on 9-0 runs twice in the period to take control of the game.
The Hawks led by as many as 32 points in the fourth before the Kings went on a 10-0 run.
Marvin Williams finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Smith missed a triple-double by a point, ending his night with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the win as the Hawks improved to 15-18 at home.
Sacramento shot just 38 percent from the field, including a 15 percent clip from beyond the three-point arc.
