The NO/Oklahoma City Hornets (30-37) used a 31-9 second quarter to build a 17 point halftime lead and went on to beat the Boston Celtics (20-47) 106-88.
Tyson Chandler finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Rasual Butler added five three-pointers and ended his night with 18 points in the lopsided victory. The Hornets shot 52 percent from the field, including 58 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
The Celtics were up 31-26 heading into the second quarter but the Hornets opened the period with an 8-0 run and followed that with a run of 9-0 and ended the half on a 14-4 run to knock Boston out.
NO/Oklahoma City built their lead to 30 points in the third quarter before easing up on the Celtics in the fourth.
Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 28 points in the loss.
