ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers to respond to the question, "Are we living in the end-times?" There were 285 participants who responded "yes" out of 353 surveyed. One participant commented, "Everything Jesus spoke about in regards to the signs of the times at His return is happening right before our eyes." Many of the respondents overall agree that what is happening in the world today is fulfilling Bible prophecies regarding the end-times.
Ten of the people surveyed do not believe that this generation is living in the end-times. There have been some disturbing things happening in the world today and many agree on that, but Christians should not get too caught up in the excitement, but instead, practice patience and be prepared for Jesus' return. Recently a lot of media attention has been centered on the Middle East and what is going on over there, with war and the threat of war. Others have mentioned the changing weather patterns and the increase of natural disasters. However this group seems to feel that instead of watching for the signs, Christians should be making sure they are prepared for His coming.
Fifty-eight participants were unsure about this question and emphasized that even with the Bible prophecies being fulfilled no man will know the exact hour or day of Jesus' return. One respondent commented about the last days by saying, "It seems that way, but that's what Paul thought 2000 years ago." Another participant brought up the possibility that perhaps God's Word is talking about the complete period between Jesus' resurrection and judgment day when referring to the last days.
Many people surveyed seem to agree that many Bible prophecies are being fulfilled today but Christians should not be fearful of this time, but instead should be rejoicing. Are we living in perilous times? Many of the participants feel that we are and the end is unfolding right before our eyes. Another respondent described these days as they were in the days of Noah. One excited believer exclaimed, "You can see it, taste it, smell it, hear it, and feel that Jesus is coming!" For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/bible/
