Michael Jordan was fined $15,000 by the NBA for comments he made surrounding Texas Longhorns freshman star Kevin Durant.
Jordan, a part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, mentioned in an interview that his club would be looking for a versatile player in the upcoming draft and then said “The kid who may present that is the kid in Texas. (He) may have that because he has all the right signs.”
The NBA does not allow team coaches or executives to discuss underclassmen unless they have declared for the draft. At this point Durant has yet to do so but would likely be the number one or two pick if he were to declare.
