Narconon Freedom Center Successfully Rehabilitating Drug Addicts

Narconon has some remarkable successes in rehabilitating drug addicts.  Hard -core addicts coming into the center change their path of self-destruction and crime to one of responsibility and self-control.

It seems unusual in this day and age of bad economic news, terrorism and hotly debated health care reform to hear of routine successes coming from any quarter.  However, at Narconon Freedom Center drug addicts doing the full Narconon program are routinely coming out the other end with changed lives much to the delight of their family and friends.

As one reformed addict puts it, "When I returned home my family could hardly recognize the person I had developed into. There relief, happiness, surprise, and pride in their son was worth the world to them and made me incredibly proud in myself and grateful forever to Narconon and all the life savers that work there."

Some could ask; could such a program exist?  Isn't it routinely accepted that once a drug addict or alcoholic always one?  Don't addicts need to refer to themselves as addicts or alcoholics to get well?

Well this is not the case at the Narconon program in Michigan. Narconon Freedom Center enrollees are not considered to be patients in need of treatment from a disease.  They are students.  "Student" is the proper term as they are simply learning to regain control of their lives without using drugs or alcohol. And Narconon has been helping students to fully recover from substance abuse for the last 44 years while achieving a more than 70% success rate for permanent sobriety.

The first stages of the Narconon program help the student to painlessly withdraw from drugs using simple gentle physical techniques and nutritional supplements. This is followed by a series of precise drills that improve the student's ability to focus and increase his self-control and his ability to communicate and interact with others.

Next is the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program which has 30 years of proven results in detoxifying individuals and flushing out harmful drug residues that if left unhandled contribute to the physical cravings and lead to relapse.

As Tanya, a Narconon Student, stated about the New Life Detoxification program, "I felt like I had drawn water from or bathed in a Fountain of Youth. I felt like I had never done drugs ever before.  It is truly an amazing feeling, and the rest of the program was even better."

The remaining 5 phases of the 8 part Narconon program, are all designed to give the student the skills and knowledge he needs to address the disability caused by drug abuse by giving him new skills and abilities to be successful and remain drug free.

As one student puts it, "There's no other way to say it this program truly did save my life. This program gave my family their daughter and sister back. I love life again.  And what a beautiful life it is."
