Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Inventory Concerns for Black Friday Shoppers

Inventory is a major concern facing online retailers this Black Friday, according to Wholesale Furniture Brokers. Many furniture suppliers that offer products including sectional sofas, dining room table pads, and recliner chairs sold down their inventory to weather the economic downturn and were unable to restock in time for the holiday season. Despite shortages, Wholesale Furniture Brokers has officially launched its one day Black Friday sale on November 27, 2009 on the USA and Canada websites. "We've hand picked items across the websites that we have confirmed stock on," notes Matt Holmes, Marketing Manager for the furniture retailer. Wholesale Furniture Brokers is encouraging customers to order early as sale volumes are expected to increase today and products could run out of stock before the sale is over at midnight.

Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Black Friday sale includes free shipping and discounted prices on more of the popular products available to order online on the USA and Canada websites. The Black Friday sale is only available for one day only, ending at midnight, so customers are encouraged to order before the sale ends to take advantage of the deals.

Black Friday is the start of the Christmas shopping season and is the beginning of the busiest shopping season for Wholesale Furniture Brokers. Matt Holmes, Marketing Manager of Wholesale Furniture Brokers says that traffic and sales on their websites usually slows down on Thanksgiving but shoots up again on Black Friday. "Lots of people are now looking for early Christmas deals. Orders are fulfilled in the order received, so when inventory is tight, it pays to order early, even on backordered items," adds Holmes.

Last year, Wholesale Furniture Brokers experienced a 13% increase in traffic compared to the monthly average. Sales were up 62% compared to the daily average. This year, Wholesale Furniture Brokers expects an increase of 28% in traffic compared to the monthly average and 138% in sales compared to the daily average for Black Friday.

During past Black Friday sales, inventory was a problem as well. "Everyone always wants the same items I guess," contemplates Holmes. He also advises that, "People don't realize that most online stores don't hold inventory. That means once an item sells out with a supplier, it's sold out on all websites that sell that item." Some websites don't offer backorders. Wholesale Furniture Brokers does to give their customers an advantage when the shipments arrive at the warehouse.

When asked about what customers can expect from the Black Friday sale, Holmes answered that there will be added customer support and more exceptional value. "Wholesale Furniture Brokers wants to let customers know that they can count on us to get them the products they want on time for Christmas. We encourage customers to call in and ask for further discounts on orders of three or more of the same item, or over $5000," says Holmes.

A Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Black Friday specials notice is sent out to customers through its email newsletter system, which is sent out on the same day. Other websites are already promoting Wholesale Furniture Brokers' coupon codes and banners for Black Friday.
