Prater pushed the advantage to 6-0 with a 32-yard field goal early in the second frame and then Knowshon Moreno extended the lead to 13-0 with a one-yard touchdown run. Denver continued to bury New York as Prater added his third field goal of the game, a 47-yarder, and the Broncos carried a 16-0 lead into the half.
New York finally got on the board in the third quarter as Lawrence Tynes kicked a 39-yard field goal and Tynes added a 52-yard field goal at the end of the frame to pull the Giants to within 16-6 heading into the fourth quarter.
Orton ended any hopes the Giants had of coming back when he found Brandon Stokley on a 17-yard touchdown pass in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter and Prater closed the deal with a 24-yard field.
The Broncos defense managed to hold the Giants running game to just 57 yards and forced three turnovers.
