Ben Roethlisberger has said he plans on playing Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens despite suffering his fourth concussion in last week’s 27-24 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Roethlisberger has been preparing as normal and expects to get the start Sunday night in what is seen as a pivotal game for the Steelers playoff hopes.
On Thursday Roethlisberger addressed the issue of his recent concussion, dismissing it as “part of the nature of the beast of playing this game. It's a violent, physical contact sport and there's a chance you're going to get hit.”
Roethlisberger suffered the concussion when his head struck the knee of Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson.
