Cornhole Game Specialty Shop Opens in Cincinnati

Cincinnati area store is all about the game of cornhole.

Cornhole, a strange name for a game, now has its own retail specialty shop nestled in a Cincinnati suburb. “Business is brisk and is expected to stay that way through the Holidays” says store manager Gayle Hess.

Cornhole a game of fun for children and adults is catching on in the Cincinnati community. The simplicity of the game is what makes the game so much fun.  Anyone can play and after the first game everyone wants to play.

Here is how the game works. Two inverted boards, 2’ x 4’ in size with a 6” hole cut out, are placed approximately 25’ apart. There are 2 or 4 players that play, each getting 4 cornhole bags. The bags are 6” square with a corn fill or bean fill. Players score 3 points by getting a bag in the hole and 1 point by getting a bag to stay on the board. The opponent can nullify that score by throwing higher point total. The goal is to see who can reach 21 first.

The Hole, the store name, is capitalizing on the local popularity of the game. The Hole is the first recognized cornhole game Specialty store in the nation. Located in Milford, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio The Hole offers ACO sanctioned cornhole equipment and ACA specification equipment. It is a haven for Professional cornhole players and backyard social players. Both levels  find their cornhole necessities at The Hole.

Gayle Hess, an expert in store layout and design has created an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
