Four Washington State Police Officers Gunned Down in Coffee Shop

Four police officers from Washington State were killed on Sunday morning when a man entered a coffee shop near McChord Air Force Base and opened fire.

According to the Pierce County sheriff’s department the officers were sitting in the coffee shop with their computers when they were ambushed. A spokesman for the department said they believe the officers were targeted in the attack and it did not appear as if it was a robbery.

McChord Air Force Base is in Pierce County, about 40 miles south of Seattle.
