NFL Scores: Peyton Manning Keeps Indianapolis Colts Perfect, Big Fourth Quarter Dumps Houston Texans

Peyton Manning was 27/35 passing for 244 yards and three touchdowns, Austin Collie had four receptions for 70 yards and Clint Session had a big interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Indianapolis Colts (11-0) stayed perfect on the year with a come-from-behind 35-27 victory over the Houston Texans (5-6) on Sunday.

It looked like Houston was ready to score the upset as they came out in the first quarter and grabbed a 14-0 lead following a 7-yard touchdown pass from Matt Schaub to Vonta Leach and a5-yard touchdown run from Chris Brown. The Texans then extended that lead to 17-0 in the second quarter when Kris Brown kicked a 35-yard field goal and the Colts were in trouble. Manning stayed calm though and led Indy down the field, eventually hitting Pierre Garcon on a 9-yard TD toss to get the Colts within 17-7 but Brown added another field goal for the Texans and Houston carried a 20-7 advantage into the half.

Indianapolis came out in the third quarter and immediately set the tone as Manning led the Colts on an opening drive that ended with a 4-yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne to cut their deficit to 20-14. Indy finally grabbed their first lead of the game in the fourth quarter when Dallas Clark pulled in a 6-yard touchdown pass. Things continued to unravel for the Texans on their ensuing drive as Schaub was picked off by Session who went 27-yards for a touchdown and gave the Colts a 28-20 cushion.

The Colts put the game away with just under three minutes left in the game when Chad Simpson scored on a 23-yard run. Schaub managed to get the Texans back in the endzone when he hit Jacoby Jones on a 10-yard touchdown pass but that was with 18 seconds left on the clock when the game was all but over.
