Marissa became the first victim of Tribal Council thanks to her Uncle Gervase’s excessive celebration of his tribe’s immunity win. At Redemption Island, she fumes about her tribe’s reasoning to Rupert and Candice.
Over at Galang, Colton is getting irritated at the “zen” camp life. He longs for chaos and declares peace and love his enemies in Survivor. Colton’s frustration mounts when Tina refuses to talk game.
Galang and Tadhana meet up at the Redemption Island arena to see the first duel. Marissa walks in staring down her former tribe. She explains to Galang that she was booted because of Gervase’s actions. Gervase turns down the opportunity to switch places with Marissa. The players must use a pole to guide 10 spools through a channel and stack them on a small disk at the top of the channel. The first two people to get all 10 spools stacked remain in the game. The loser is sent home. Rupert loses the duel and is sent packing. As the first winner of the duel, Candice is given a hidden immunity idol clue to give to any player of her choosing. She chooses her husband John.
Colton tries to create chaos at Galang by spreading lies about people targeting each other. Everyone sees through his lies. His attempt to create chaos does the opposite – it results in the formation of a new alliance between Aras, Gervase, Monica, Tina and Tyson. It looks like their first target may be Colton.
At Tadhana, Vytas comes up with a great strategy to possibly weaken Galang. He suggests voting out the loved one of a strong Galang member which would tempt the Galang member to switch with their loved one at Redemption Island. He suggests going with Rachel first because Tyson would probably take her place at Redemption Island. John doesn’t like the plan because it would mean Candice would have to compete in a duel with a strong player.
For the immunity challenge, each tribe must roll a member in a barrel to four stations to collect bags of balls. They must roll the balls up a slated board and land them in six holes. Galang takes home their second win and Tadhana visits Tribal Council for the second time in a row.
It initially looked like John would refused to go through with the plan to send Rachel packing, but he decides that he better stick with his alliance. Rachel becomes the next person to join Redemption Island.
