Avista Technologies Hires Expert Lee Durham as Technical Services Director
Lee Brings Technical Know-How To Membrane Treatment Technologies
San Marcos, CA – September 24, 2013 — Avista Technologies, Inc. a globally recognized and trusted supplier of water treatment chemicals and expert process support for membrane treatment technologies, has announced the addition of Lee Durham as the company’s Technical Services Director. Lee brings industry leading expertise, technical know-how and skillful guidance to the company’s technical support department.
Lee is an industry veteran and comes to Avista with more than 33 years of experience in the membrane separations industry. “We’ve known Lee for almost three decades and really enjoyed working with him at Argo Scientific. When he was ready to return to the specialty chemical side of the industry, we were more than happy to welcome him as part of our team” said David Walker, Avista President and CEO. “Lee’s experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to expand our technical capabilities to support our customers.”
In his new role, Durham will use his knowledge of membrane design and application experience to oversee technical and laboratory services and will act as an ongoing technical resource for Avista’s growing client base. “The position of Technical Services Director allows me to put my experience in membrane technology and water treatment to very good use,” said Durham. “I’m excited about reuniting with the founders of Avista and helping to support the company’s continuing growth.”Previously Lee worked at Koch Membrane Systems and Toray Membrane as Global Product Line Manager for Specialty Separations. This prior experience increased his knowledge in a variety of water treatment applications including; municipal waste water and membrane technologies including Reverse Osmosis, Ultra filtration, Nano filtration, Hollow Fiber Micro Filtration, and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) development and design.
