Tiger Woods Hospital Records Reportedly Sought by Florida Police

Tiger Woods hasn’t exactly escaped his recent single-car accident unscathed as the world’s number one golfer can’t seem to shake the questions that linger concerning what caused him to hit a fire hydrant before slamming into a neighbor’s tree last Friday.

It is now being reported that police are seeking a search warrant for hospital records related to the accident. Woods was transported to an area hospital after sustaining cuts and bruises in the crash but many suspect some of his injuries may have been present before the accident.

According to some reports police are now trying to determine if the injuries Woods sustained were consistent with an auto accident or domestic violence. Woods released a statement on Sunday saying “The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.”

Those assertions have involved allegations that Woods was involved in a fight with his wife prior to storming out of the house around 2:30 a.m. on Friday and then hitting the fire hydrant and tree. Woods has dismissed those claims saying “the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.’”
