Dustin Pedroia Baseman to Shortstop

With the recent departure of Alex Gonzalez the Red Sox’s are considering switching Dustin Pedroia position.  His current position is second baseman and if they make the transition he will be a shortstop.  Dustin is all for the change.  Now that they have put the offer out there he is willing to make a change for the advancement of the team.  “They’ve asked me if I think I could play shortstop.  They’ve put it out there and I’ve told them I’m all for it.  I can’t wait for Terry Francona to call me and ask, ‘can you do it’?  I can do it.  I really want to do it.”
