(NYSE:GES) climbs up 13.50% to $42.05 after the company announced that it expects fourth quarter 2010 net revenues to range from $585 million to $605 million and diluted earnings per share (EPS) to be in the range of $0.77 to $0.80. The Company expects fiscal 2010 consolidated net revenues to range from $2.07 billion to $2.09 billion and diluted EPS to range from $2.45 to $2.48. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenue of $563 million and EPS of $0.69 for the fourth quarter of 2010; revenue of $2.01 billion and EPS of $2.19 for fiscal 2010.

Forest Oil Corporation (NYSE:FST) climbs up 10.81% to $20.30 SandRidge Energy Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire oil and gas properties in the Permian Basin from Forest Oil Corporation (Forest) and one of its subsidiaries for $800 million. Approximately $720 million of the purchase price is attributable to the reserves and $80 million to undeveloped acreage, equipment and other assets.

Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX) climbs up 6.68% to $45.54 on 5.59 million shares. The stock hit an intraday high and an intraday low of $45.57 and $44.02 respectively. In the last six months the stock went up over 23%. Barrick Gold Corporation is engaged the production and sale of gold, as well as related activities, such as exploration and mine development. Barrick also produces copper and holds interests in a platinum group metals development project and a nickel development project, both located in Africa, and a platinum group metals project located in Russia.
