Alex Ovechkin injury update

This morning Alex Ovechkin decided to test his injured right knee.  He skated for less than five minutes and was unable to move at full speed.  At this point the Capitals are considering Ovechkin to play on a day by day basis.  Alex Ovechkin injury is a great loss to the team.  He leads the Capitals with 18 goals, 30 points and 44 penalty minutes. 

Ovechkin was injured yesterday in a knee-on-knee hit against the Carolina Hurricanes.  The actual collision took place with Tim Gleason. We hope Alex Ovechkin has a speedy and full recovery.
