Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks, Barkhad Abdi, Catherine Keener, Michael Chernus and Corey Johnson, opens in theaters Friday, October 11. The biographical drama tells the story of Captain Phillips and the 2009 hijacking of the MV Maersk cargo ship.
The film has a runtime of 2 hours 13 minutes and is rated PG 13 for sustained intense sequences of menace, some violence with bloody images, and for substance use.
