Speaking at Cal State University at Northridge last night, Mel Gibson reportedly told an audience to “f--- off” during the Q&A after his presentation.
Gibson was challenged by an Assistant Professor of Central American Studies at the university because of his depiction surrounding the Mayan culture. Alicia Estrada asked Gibson if he had read about the history of the Mayan culture prior to shooting the film “Apocalypto.”
She went on to challenge Gibson’s accuracy in scenes that involved sacrificial ceremonies conducted by the Mayans. Estrada told Gibson that the film was inaccurate and racist at which point Gibson said ‘Lady, f--- off.”
The woman was escorted out of the event by organizers. Gibson’s publicist labeled the woman a “heckler.”
