Martinez, who entered the plea in a federal district court yesterday, had access to Home Depot’s confidential information and other trade secrets which included pricing and profitability spread sheets as well as documents relating to product line reviews. He was senior manager of product engineering during his time with the company, and was responsible for assisting the company’s vendors in preparing to sell products.
Prosecutors allege that he gave a vendor confidential pricing information during a product review in May 2008 in addition to simultaneously negotiating an employment agreement with the vendor.
