The Philadelphia Phillies just acquired a new third baseman. Placido Polanco has decided to return to the Philadelphia Phillies. He signed a three-year, 18 million deal. He also has an option for a fourth year. He arrived in Philadelphia this morning for a physical and told NBC that he’s “excited to join a championship team.” The Philadelphia Phillies are very familiar with the third baseman and the skills he brings to the field. Polanco played with the Phillies from 2002 to 2005. We wish Placido Polanco and the Philadelphia Phillies all the luck.
