Fundraising Telethon Poker Night Cancelled

An event was to take place at the Hyeres-les-Palmiers town hall in France called “The Night of Poker”.

An event was to take place at the Hyeres-les-Palmiers town hall in France called “The Night of Poker”. All over the country poker clubs planned to take part in The Night of Poker. The Sanary Poker Club put together a poker tournament for this event with the support of the Hyeres-les-Palmiers town hall and the organization All Out. Everything was all set to go until the entire poker telethon event was cancelled at the last minute.

Mark Vaireaux, the president of All Out was upset about the cancellation saying that the Night of Poker telethon was for a good cause. He also said that it was low of the game brigade to cancel the event at the last minute, especially when other French poker clubs are often tolerated.

The organizers of the event decided to do their best in saving the event. They were ready to do the Night of Poker for free but it was impossible to offer the winners some batches immediately. The town hall was not happy about The Night of Poker telethon being cancelled, but the organizers say they understand the decision that the Hyeres-les-Palmiers town hall made. The problem that brought the event to be cancelled was that by law a tournament of this kind needs to take place in an approved establishment and the cost of participating in The Night of Poker was a huge part of the problem.
