President Barack Obama is satisfied about the direction the economy is moving toward but wants to concentrate even more on creating jobs according to a statement from the White House.
Press secretary Robert Gibbs revealed that new employment figures demonstrate considerable economic progress and indicate “the right trend going in hiring." He added that even the minor job losses last month were too much and that the nation is slated to return to “an economy that is not just growing but is creating jobs."
11,000 jobs were lost in November according to the government report, the best numbers the US has seen since the start of the recession. Christina Romer, White House economics adviser, sees this as an indicator that stabilization in the financial market is bolstering the labor market.
