Deadly Fire in Indonesia Claims at least 20 Lives

A deadly building fire in the Indonesian island of Sumatra has claimed the lives of at least 20 people and officials expect that number to rise as many remain trapped.

The fire occurred inside a commercial building in Medan, Indonesia’s third largest city. According to reports the fire started in an amusement center within the building and burnt for at least an hour, causing several rooms to fill with smoke.

Officials have not said what caused the blaze and an investigation will be launched after the rescue and recovery efforts are complete.
