The bond insurer, based in Bermuda, said the net proceeds of the sale totaled roughly $574 million, to be used to meet credit rating agency requirements and maintain AA ratings from Moody’s Investors Services.
In afternoon trading, Assured Guaranty shares slipped 24 cents to $21.65.
