Activision Blizzard’s (NASDAQ:ATVI) director for the hit video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be making his directorial debut on the action thriller Frost Road. The film will be directed by Cary Brokaw, of Closer, and Steven L’Heureux. Arem wrote the script which is concurrently in development as a graphic novel with Brandon Humphreys and artwork done by Christopher Shy.

Formerly Activision, Activision Blizzard is an online and console game publisher. It has reported $550 million in worldwide sales within the first five days of the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. As of December 1, 2009, total sales have been reported at $3 billion.
