College Prep Camp Expands to Nine U.S. Locations in 2010

SuperCamp college prep camps are expanding in 2010 to nine U.S. locations from coast to coast. These 10-day teen summer camps for high school students in grades 9-12 provide teens with learning skills and life skills that prepare them for college success.

Bobbi DePorter, president of SuperCamp, says that, "Our college prep programs are, in effect, AP courses in learning and life skills for high school students. SuperCamp provides these students with college-level training while they're in high school."

There are both immediate and long-term benefits of SuperCamp's summer academic programs. Most students see immediate improvements in grades. The majority of SuperCamp graduates also gain confidence, motivation, and communication and leadership skills, which help them as they move from high school into college.

Students who attend SuperCamp gain skills that will apply to all subject areas and in their personal development, as well. They learn how to read faster and comprehend more, write easily with less stress and better results, memorize anything from simple lists to complex concepts, take meaningful and memorable notes, study smarter, improve focus in class, make math easier, improve test results from quick quizzes to lengthy standardized exams, raise their grades by identifying their personal learning style, communicate better, resolve differences and build strong relationships, and develop positive character strengths.

The nine locations for SuperCamp in 2010 are Stanford, Brown, UCLA, Wake Forest, Loyola Marymount, Colorado College, the University of Washington, Cal State San Marcos, and Lake Forest Academy. Most of these locations offer multiple 10-day sessions of the college prep program.

SuperCamp also offers an eight-day college skills camp for incoming and current college students called Quantum U. More information on all SuperCamp programs is available at the website and by calling 800-285-3276.
