Amare Stoudemire scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Raja Bell added 29 points and the Phoenix Suns (53-17) beat the Memphis Grizzlies (17-54) 105-87 to improve to 29-7 at home.
The Grizzlies played the Suns tough in the first quarter as Rudy Gay had nine points and Pau Gasol added seven and Memphis trailed by just four, 31-27. But the second quarter belonged to Raja Bell and the Phoenix Suns. Bell hit three-three-pointers and finished with 11 in the quarter and by the end of the first half the Suns were up 58-43.
That lead was bumped up to 19 early in the third quarter but Memphis used a 10-0 run to cut the Phoenix lead to 62-53. The Grizzlies kept the game within reach but Phoenix finished the quarter on a 9-1 run and headed into the fourth quarter with a 80-64 lead.
Phoenix never gave the Grizzlies a chance in the fourth as they built their lead up to 22 at one point before coasting to the finish.
Gasol led the Grizzlies with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
