NFL Scores: Indianapolis Colts Keep Perfect Season Intact, End Tennessee Titans Streak at Five

Peyton Manning was 24/37 passing for 270 yards and a touchdown, Joseph Addai collected 79 yards rushing and a pair of TDs and Pierre Garcon had 136 yards receiving on six catches as the Indianapolis Colts (12-0) kept their drive for a perfect season alive with a 27-17 win over the Tennessee Titans (5-7) on Sunday.

Heading into the game there were many who predicted the Titans would hand the Colts their first loss but Indy responded to those critics with a touchdown on their opening drive as Addai punched one in from eight yards out for a 7-0 lead. Tennessee managed to put three points on the board with a 20-yard field goal from Rob Bironas and the Titans went into the second quarter trailing 7-3.

Addai added his second touchdown of the game in the opening minutes of the second when he crossed the goal line from a yard out and the Colts would add another TD when Manning found Austin Collie on a 4-yard toss with 1:55 left in the half. It looked like Tennessee would carry some momentum heading into the half when Vince Young hooked up with Kenny Britt on a 6-yard toss with 20 seconds on the clock but the Colts managed to get a 43-yard field goal from Matt Stover as time expired to give Indy a 24-10 lead at the break.

Defense dominated the second half as neither team could put points on the board in the third quarter and the struggles carried over into the fourth until the Colts got another Stover field goal with 3:14 for a 27-10 advantage. Vince Young managed to toss his second TD late in the game, a 17-yarder to Bo Scaife, but by that point the Titans five-game winning streak was already a thing of the past.
