American Cornhole adds Eric Long Sunbury, PA to its growing list of ACO Certified Officials

The American Cornhole Organization (ACO) is pleased to announce the newest Certified Official to join the team.

Eric Long has signed on to promote the growth of ACO Cornhole in Central Pennsylvania. Eric’s focus as an ACO Certified Official will include: coordinating ACO World Ranking Points earning tournaments, selling ACO merchandise and promoting the overall sport of cornhole in his community while working to develop a profitable cornhole business for himself.  

“The state of Pennsylvania is virtually an untapped market for American Cornhole. We believe with Eric’s enthusiasm for the game and experience in running events in other sports, that he will be able to help spread the word and grow ACO Cornhole very quickly in his region. American Cornhole is excited to bring an individual of Eric’s caliber into the ACO Family. We are always looking for new Certified Officials to help us promote the sport of cornhole around the country,” said Frank Geers, President of American Cornhole, LLC.


Eric Long has lived in Sunbury Pennsylvania his entire life and has been an active member of the city for more than 20 years: coaching youth football, girls softball, and directing multiple adult leagues and tournaments for softball and billiards. In 2013 he successfully ran the Fraternal Order of Eagles State Billiards Tournament featuring 89 teams. Eric is married to wife Deni, with 2 children, Bryce and Kierston Jo. It is his goal to promote the ACO to Central Pennsylvania in a family oriented way. “I plan to make cornhole extremely popular in Central Pennsylvania with the help of the ACO and people like Jason Ploppert and his wife Stephanie who will assist me as we develop the sport of cornhole in Sunbury. I expect one day the ACO will crown a King of Cornhole who will hail from Sunbury, PA.”, said Eric.
