Christian Singles Sites Explode With Online Marriages According To ChristiaNet Poll

Free Christian singles sites such as Christian dating services, chatrooms and social networks are great places to find someone to marry according to http://www.christianet.com/christianpenpals/.

ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, polled reader's on the survey question, "Would you marry someone through a Christian singles site?" Out of 199 responses, 121 respondents said they would marry if they knew it was the right person. One Christian lady said, "I did! I met my husband here on ChristiaNet.com 4 years ago. He is my soul mate, and I know that God can and does use the Net for His purposes." Many Believers that responded in this group agree that it is important to become friends first and spend a lot of time together before tying the knot. Online marriages can work if God is number one for both people.  (http://www.christianet.com/christianpenpals/)

Twenty-seven of those polled were adamant that Christian singles sites were not the best way to try to find a mate. One participant spoke from personal experience when saying, "I've only had experiences with creeps and jerks through online sites." Online marriages are not for everyone since some people prefer meeting others face-to-face. Several respondents in this group felt that it is just too risky and dangerous in this day and age.

Fifty-one participants of the survey were unsure about marrying someone from Christian singles sites. Many felt that it really depends on the circumstances. One reader emphasized the importance of not only spending a lot of time with the person but that both people should spend time with a Christian marriage counselor before making a commitment. Online marriages do happen and are successful according to one participant, "I have a friend who married someone he met on ChristiaNet.com." Many Believers seem to agree overall that they must believe that it is God's will for their life before they could get married.

One of the happy respondents wrote, "I am guided by the Holy Spirit of God and I do not believe in luck. I think God can use Christian singles sites for His glory. Does it matter if people meet this way, or see one another in a shopping mall?" This reader is planning to marry soon after meeting someone online and dating for 2 years. Many Believers placed an emphasis on "trusting in God" with everything and giving a relationship time.  For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
