The results after two weeks were less than kind to the beauty queens of 'Dancing with the Stars' as both Paulina Porizkova and Shandi Finnessey faced elimination on Tuesday night. In the end it was Porizkova that received the fewest votes; a bit disconcerting seeing that she had tallied more points in her two dances than several of the other competitors.
For whatever reason, the voters opted to keep Billy Ray Cyrus and Clyde Drexler around for another week while John Razenberger and Leeza Gibbons escaped elimination as well despite low totals.
Finnessey had been criticized by the judges for showing a lack of movement in her two dances yet still out pointed the like of Drexler, Cyrus, Gibbons and Ratzenberger.
There is a clear line drawn in the 'Dancing with the Stars' competition that separates the contenders from the pretenders and those listed above will all find their way to the chopping block sooner than later. What the show does offer is a level of parity at the top of the class.
Heather Mills has been sensational, Laila Ali and Apolo Anton Ohno have shown their athleticism, Joey Fatone is a former boy bander so he knows how to dance and Ian Ziering is holding his own.
The first few elimination shows will be a toss up when it comes to the bottom but the top of the class should push through to make the final weeks very interesting.
