Star Wars to be Featured on U.S. Postal Stamps, Good for this Planet Only
On a stamp he will be. Yoda, along with a host of characters and vehicles from Star Wars, will be appearing on U.S. Postal Stamps in May. The 15 stamp set will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of the first Star Wars movie and the six Oscars it took home.
The Star Wars stamps will be available May 25 and reflect the new 41-cent price implemented by the Postal Service.
A single sheet will all 15 stamps will be available for stamp buyers and the opportunity to vote on a favorite individual stamp will be made available. The most popular stamp will then be re-issued as a single stamp later in the year.
Included in the 15 stamp Star Wars set are: Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia along with R2-D2, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Maul, Boba Fett, Queen Padme Amidala, Anakin Skywalker fighting Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, Imperial Stormtroopers, The Millennium Falcon and an X-wing fighter.
