CITIGROUP INC(NYSE:C) declines 0.74% to $4 on 53.37 million shares after Dow Jones reported that the U.S. Treasury isn’t selling its 34% stake in Citigroup Inc. until a plan of repayment is agreed upon, as per Bloomberg report. Report also says that, the Treasury Department intends to hold its stake until regulators and the bank both agree a plan for Citigroup Inc. to repay money it received from the government last year.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) plunges 1.20% to $15.70 on 4.38 million shares after Bank of America Corporation announced the holding interest of 37,709,467 ordinary shares representing 5.14% of issued share capital in Arrow Energy Limited. Dow Jones reported that LyondellBasell Industries AF has reached a deal with a group of banks, including Citigroup Inc. and UBS AG, that could settle a lawsuit in its bankruptcy case but that still leaves key players in the lawsuit facing claims.

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) is down 4.55% to $3.99 on 1.26 million shares after the company was downgraded from Buy to Neutral by Pali Research. Sprint Nextel Corporation is a holding company that offers a range of wireless and wireline communications products and services for individual consumers, businesses and government customers. The Company conducts its operations through two segments: Wireless and Wireline.
