Founders of Asian Plantations Ltd Bring Experience and Expertise to the Management

Companies on the Move by EQUITIES Magazine, Asian Plantations Limited

Singapore-based Asian Plantations Limited is involved in the acquisition, development, operation and management of palm oil in Malaysia. The company's success is predicated upon the eco-friendly nature and cultivation process of palm oil as well as in the experience and operational know-how of its founders.

As joint CEOs and Executive Directors Dennis Melka and Graeme Iain Brown created Asian Plantations in 2007. Brown, responsible for business operations, was previously CEO of the Limar Group, a diversified conglomerate with extensive assets in Malaysia. In addition, with over ten years’ experience in the industry, he is a specialist in plantation planting, palm species and plantation operations.

Before coming to Asian Plantations, Melka was a private venture capitalist in Southeast Asia, successfully taking companies from concept to operations and, finally, third party capital infusion. In charge of corporate development, acquisitions and finance, Melka’s ten years with Credit Suisse First Boston’s investment banking division is a testament to his financial expertise.

The combination of a stellar management team and the tremendous global growth opportunities of palm oil make Asian Plantations Limited a company that is ready to take off.
