The Louisville Cardinals are expected to announce Florida Gators defensive coordinator Carlos Strong as their new head coach on Wednesday.
The school will be holding a meeting tomorrow where they will almost certainly approve the hiring of Strong. He will then be introduced as the new Cardinals head coach later in the day.
Strong was the defensive coordinator for a Gators squad that allowed just 252.8 yards per game and an average of 11.5 points per contest. Florida’s defense was tied with Penn State for allowing the fewest touchdowns during the year, just 15 in 13 games; the Nittany Lions played 12 games.
