ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. (November 6, 2013). Peoples Flower Shops, an Albuquerque, New Mexico based, family-owned and operated florist, reminds customers that November 15th is the Capitol Christmas Tree Stop in Albuquerque. This is the Christmas tree that will make its way from its home in the Colville National Forest in Washington State to the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Along the way, it is stopping in many cities, including Albuquerque, so that more people can enjoy this spectacular Christmas tree.
The free holiday event will be held on November 15th from 4:00-6:00pm at the Armory Building. The celebration includes luminaries from a local Boy Scout troop, beverages like hot chocolate and apple cider, cookies, a craft booth to make ornaments, and Toys for Tots collection booth.
