A Chicago, Illinois man accused of playing a role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks that left 174 people dead has entered a not guilty plea.
According to prosecutors David Headley, a Pakistani-American, assisted the attackers in identifying targets for their attack. Headley is also facing charges related to a suspected plot to attack a Danish newspaper that had published pictures of the Prophet Mohammed that he deemed offensive.
In all, the 49-year-old Headley has been charged with six counts of conspiracy to bomb public places in India as well as murder and maim people in India as well as Denmark, providing material to support foreign terrorists and providing material support to the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan.
