QualityStocks News - World Moto (FARE) Files for Patent Coverage on Wheelies Digital Advertising Technology

QualityStocks would like to highlight World Moto (OTCQB: FARE). The company has revolutionized the fast-growing motorcycle taxi industry by inventing the Moto-Meter motorcycle taxi meter, a landmark device that CNN, Newsweek, Wired, Moneylife, among others, are calling "the world's first motorcycle taxi meter" and "world's first portable taxi meter" and "first-ever black box for motorcycles," while the Times named it "one of the most significant innovations of this decade" and Fast Company declared it "The First Real Taxi Meter Innovation in 100 Years...a $3 billion dollar idea."

In the company’s news,

World Moto has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office regarding aspects of the technology in the company’s new product, “Wheelies.”

Wheelies displays static and streaming media content on the wheels of motorcycles and automobiles, turning the wheel into a full-color billboard or video screen and creating a unique mobile medium for advertising, broadcasting, self-expression and publishing. The company notes that outdoor display-type advertising is the fastest growing segment of the advertising industry.

All digital content displayed on the wheel can be sequenced and triggered at a specific time, location, or manually under the command of an operator using a smart device with gesture recognition or speech recognition. This provides the individual or company using Wheelies with the ability to target advertisements to different demographics.

World Moto sees Wheelies as an opportunistic, high-impact medium for advertisers to showcase brands and businesses to new customers in highly populous locations with the ability to target up to 400,000 people a day, per motorcycle.

“We are pleased to have achieved this milestone in the development of our company’s technologies, and continue to add to World Moto’s intellectual property estate. Wheelies have both personal and commercial applications and we are looking forward to sharing it with the world this week,” Paul Giles, CEO of World Moto, stated in the news release.

World Moto believes that the obvious appeal to advertisers together with the additional revenue streams available to agents, operators and drivers will result in considerable demand for the technology, with retail buyers making up the largest portion of Wheelies users.
