Massachusetts Slaps Ruby Tuesday’s Supplier with Fine for Selling Small Steaks

Finance World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

Massachusetts’ officials fined Colorado Premium Foods, Ruby Tuesday’s beef supplier, $700 for providing steaks that were allegedly smaller than their advertised size. The fine is the maximum allowed.

Ruby Tuesday menus include size-specific items such as seven- and nine-ounce sirloins, and 12-ounce rib-eyes.

A customer complaint about receiving a small steak incited the investigation, which found that the steaks were underweight at a sampling of restaurants in Swansea, Taunton, Worcestor, Springfield and Attleboro.
