Finance World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

Peru has been awarded a $400 million contingency credit line by the Andean Development Corp, or CAF.

Country officials say the fund, which would be delivered in two portions of $200 million,  would only be used in an emergency.

The finance Ministry explained that the aim of the contingency loan is to ease any potential public financing difficulties due to external events that might close access to domestic or international financial markets.
