At the invintation of Peru President Alan García, and in the context of Brazilian Week in Peru, the President will hold a working meeting which will cover issues like border, highway and energy integration, trade technical and education cooperation as well as regional themes of interest.
In addition, the Presidents will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the cooperation project to establish the Brazilian-Peruvian school.
As well as technical cooperation projects in sectors like border area zoning, production of coffee and cocoa in the Peruvian Amazon, environmental protection and the fight against organized crime, the Presidents are expected to sign agreements regarding border integration.
Trade exchanges between Brazil and Peru went from USD 724 million, in 2003, to USD 3.3 billion in 2008.
