Howard K. Stern Drops Bid to Block DNA Test Results Surrounding Daughter of Anna Nicole Smith
Determining the paternity of Dannielynn, the infant daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, took a step forward this afternoon as Howard K. Stern dropped his bid to block the release of DNA test results.
Stern had been admonished earlier by the Bahamian Court of Appeal for not filing a challenge before the DNA testing was ordered. Rather than object to submitting to a DNA test Stern willingly submitted a sample and waited a week to file his most recent challenge.
Listed as the father of the birth certificate, Stern’s paternity was challenged by Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend of Anna Nicole Smith. Birkhead has remained steadfast in his legal battles to prove that he is the father of Dannielynn.
While the DNA tests have already been conducted the results have yet to be made public.
