Tiger Woods may began to see the fallout from his recent “transgressions” broaden as one of his major sponsors, Gillette, has announced they will begin to limit his role in their campaigns, eventually eliminating the golfer from all their advertising.
Gillette has produced several commercials featuring Woods but none of those have been aired since late November.
Woods has numerous sponsors and his endorsements of products from Nike, Accenture, AT&T and others have made him one of the wealthiest athletes in the world. Those sponsors have been left in a precarious situation though as news of Woods’ alleged affairs have left them unsure of what to do.
The world’s number one golfer recently announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from professional golf, stating he needed to work on repairing his family. That decision was supported by Nike, one of Woods’ oldest sponsors.
