Six Russian parachutists, their instructor and a pilot were killed on Sunday when the plane they were flying in crashed near the Urals city of Chelyabinsk.
There have been no reports on what caused the aircraft to go down but witnesses said the Technoavia SM92 sports plane dropped suddenly from a height of about 490 feet. All eight people aboard the plane were killed when it slammed into the ground near Korkino.
An investigation into what led the plane to crash has been launched, with some theories indicating pilot error while others were concentrating on the bad weather.
