Brazil Holiday Sales the Best in Eight Years

Finance World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

Amid government tax cuts and a consumer finance revival, Brazilian retailers are expected the best holiday sales in eight years.

Sales revenue will rise 12 percent in the Christmas season, compared with 9.5 percent last year, according to 66 percent of the store owners polled by the national association of mall retailers, known as Alshop, and consulting company Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

This year, the retail and consumer goods industry has been the best performer in Brazil after real estate.
