DENVER, COLORADO. (December 2, 2013). Veldkamp’s Flowers and Gifts, the third generation, family-owned and operated Denver florist, reminds shoppers to take time out from their holiday errands and create a family tradition by attending the Trail of Lights event presented by Denver Botanic Gardens. The event starts on November 29th and runs through January 1, 2014 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. It will be open on Christmas Eve, Christmas evening, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s evening.
The event features a choice of paths, including a shorter one that leads to a children’s play area while a longer path leads to the Green Farm Barn. The lights are set to synchronized lights on all paths. There is also a warming hut and fire pit as well as hot drinks available for purchase. Also on display are illuminated antique and model tractors and numerous Christmas décor.
In commenting on creating holiday family traditions, General Manager John Veldkamp said, “The Christmas holidays are such a special time that should be filled with magical memories for children and adults. Events like the Trail of Lights are a great way to enjoy an evening off from shopping and prepping for the holidays. Our staff at Veldkamp’s Flowers enjoys attending this event with their families and often is inspired to create new holiday flower designs after seeing such creativity.”
