Apple Inc.’s 27-inch desktop computer went on sale in October for $1,699 and has been a best seller. Late last night, the company apologized for delays in shipping the unit, saying orders were roughly two weeks behind—implying they likely won’t arrive in time for Christmas.
Despite strong sales, the 27-inch iMac has been barraged with complaints ranging from a malfunctioning display to units arriving with broken and cracked screens.
Shares of Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) fell $1.19, or .6 percent, to $195.79.
